- Introduction
- ------------
-
- There have been many times that I have typed in a command (such as Q)
- and ran a different program then I thought I would. For example, Q
- represents Quatro, Query (a personal program I wrote) and I also have
- a BAT file called Q.BAT.
-
- I decided to write a program that will "search" my path in the same
- way DOS would. Instead of executing the program, it will "list" all
- occurrences of the program, "in the order" that DOS would find them.
-
- If you have multiple versions of a program, for example, a COM and
- EXE version, FP will list them in the order that DOS would find them.
-
-
-
- Installation
- ------------
-
- Simply place FP.EXE in any directory in your path. It requires no
- special configurations etc...
-
-
-
- Execution
- ---------
-
- FP takes one parameter. It should be the "command" you would type in
- at DOS. For example, if I wanted to find all occurrences of "Q" in my
- path... I would type:
-
- FP Q
-
- If I wanted to find all occurrences of WP I would type:
-
- FP WP
-
- If I wanted to find all versions of PKZIP in my path, I would type:
-
- FP PKZIP
